Are we there yet?
It's not been a great week for the technology industry. I was out and about in central London yesterday while various big names like BT, Nokia and Microsoft made dire predictions or announced cuts. And as of this morning Qimonda goes chapter 11 and the UK is officially in recession, well there's a surprise.Funny thing is London was still churning, the trains ran to time, the tubes were crowded and we were certainly not the only folk in the restaurant at lunchtime. New businesses are still being formed, I know - I've met them, and everyone who's been through tough times before is able to talk about when things improve, not if.So we keep going then, doing what we do - the best we can, tapping in to all available sources of information to make the most of every opportunity. And if you need to fiddle while Rome burns, pick up on Stephen Fry's competition on Twitter to celebrate his 50,000 followers, there's a link to a tool that lists all the entries. Can you write a message with 50 letter Ls in it in less than 140 characters and make it cleverly funny?
